Job Title: Finance Assistant (Fixed-Term 6 months)

Hours: 21 hours per week

Location: Sheffield

About the role:

The Finance Assistant will work within the Financial Reporting Team, assisting the team by overseeing a number of key areas including: invoice processing, cashbook posting, credit control and other ad-hoc duties within the team.

Your responsibilities:

• You will carry out cashbook postings and reconcile the bank account for the UK Wellbeing division.

• You will carry out credit control for the UK Wellbeing division, sending emails and making phone calls where necessary to ensure timely receipt of payments due.

• You will help with processing purchase invoices across both UK divisions, where needed.

• You will manage the account mailbox with other staff, answering and dealing with ad-hoc email queries.

• Help with processing refunds to policyholders/members and bank transfers where needed.

• Provide cover for the rest of the Financial Reporting team where required.

• Any other duties as reasonable requested.

What you’ll bring:

• A-C/4-9 grade in 5 GCSE subjects including Maths & English

• Part/fully qualified AAT or has a degree in a business/accounting based subject

• Experience within a transactional finance function for a number of years.

• Working as part of a team, cooperating and helping others through busy periods.

• Ability to pick up new tasks quickly.

• Worked in fixed term roles previously.

• Process large volumes of data.

• Liaising with other departments and externally.
